Intravenous (IV) sedation requires strict preparation for your safety. Please review and follow every item on this checklist before your appointment.

You must have an adult driver who will stay at the office during your procedure and drive you home.No driving, conducting business, or consuming alcohol for 24 hours after your procedure.No food or drink for 6 hours before your appointment. Clear liquids are permitted up to 2 hours before.Wear loose, comfortable clothing with short sleeves. No eye makeup or false lashes. Remove contacts and nail polish.Continue taking your daily medications. You may take small sips of water to swallow pills.A prescription may be called in before or after your procedure. Take antibiotics as directed.Plan to take the day of surgery off from work.
